The Deep End Mod/Addon for MCPE/Minecraft Bedrock 1.20+

A Vanilla-styled overhaul of the End!  New biomes, blocks, mobs, and so much more! Is the End really the finale of your journey, or is it just a new Beginning...?

Layers(Similar to biomes):

"The Deep End", in-game, refers to the environments that can only be found in successive "Layers" that generate in the outer End islands at specific distances from the center island.

  • Layer I, the Crags: Generate ~3000 to ~4500 blocks from the center of the End

A jagged mountain range of smooth end stone. Lightning strikes frequently in this layer. Players gliding with Elytra will experience dangerously powerful turbulence caused by the high concentration of magical electricity here, which will also often strike the player with lightning. Crossing the Crags into Layer II will have to be done on foot, or through some other form of travel.

  • Layer II, the Reef: Reef terrain generates ~4500 to ~7000 blocks from the center of the End, Reef ecosystems currently generate ~4500 blocks deep and outwards indefinitely

Beyond about 4,500 blocks deep in the End, the last sparse ecosystems of independent organisms still hold out against the potent magical presence that rules the End. The surface of the End here is covered in hills and craters. As of now, the two ecosystems that the player can find are the Cerulean Kelp Ecosystem and the Stellosohyl Ecosystem. These ecosystems are very fragile, and the player must be careful to not take too much from them.

  • More layers and ecosystems to come!

Structures:

  • -Added bastion remnant buried artifacts, which can now be found hidden in suspicious gravel inside bastion remnants and rarely in Nether ruined portals.

  • Added Star Springs, natural formations of bedrock found beyond Layer II, which host multiple pre-activated End exit portals.

Blocks(Some blocks obtainable through commands are currently not in-game, and should not be used, as they are not currently finished and are prone to change/removal in later releases):

  • Chiseled End stone: Obtained through the stonecutter. Depicts an Enderman.
  • Chiseled Purpur: Obtained through the stonecutter. Depicts... What is that creature...?
  • Vacuoflux: A translucent concentration of some strange, flowing darkness. Makes up the Vacuous Waves.
  • Smooth End stone
  • Stellosohyl: This organic block can be used to dry up surrounding water blocks, but dies after one use. Grows in the Stellosohyl Ecosystem.
  • Cerulean Kelp: The most common organism in Layer II, the Reef. Grants minor levitation and slow falling when jumped on.
  • Faded Holdfast
  • Faded Stipe
  • Faded Blade
  • Faded Float: Grants brief, but extreme levitation and slow falling when jumped on. Found on the top of old-growth Cerulean Kelp.
  • Mobs:
  • Molaraze, a hostile fish-like mob that flies above the Cerulean Kelp Ecosystem in Layer II, the Reef. When a Molaraze spots a player, they will turn on their side and dive towards the player. Molaraze can be found wherever there is old-growth Cerulean Kelp.

  •  Wail: This imposing creature floats above Layer II of the Deep End, the Crags, and calls out to Enderman to hunt down any trespassers, making the Crags a much more difficult place to traverse.

Items:

  • Dislocator: Crafted from an ender pearl, gunpowder, and a compass, the Dislocator can be used to teleport to a random location nearby, at the cost of minor fall damage to the user plus a fraction of the fall damage that would be taken by an already falling user otherwise. When used, the Dislocator also teleports nearby mobs with the user, and carried mobs are inflicted with additional velocity in a random direction when teleported, which may lead to fall damage.

Changes to Vanilla features:

  • When hit, Ender Crystals will now fluctuate in size while emitting "warning" particles and an audible fracturing sound seconds before exploding

  • Enderman and Endermites have been given a new wonderful retexture, courtesy of Exdrill
